Why I Love This Recipe

This is a Betty Crocker recipe that a friend suggested to me for Christmas breakfast. I modified it to fit the needs of my family, and it was a big hit!

Ingredients You'll Need

1 package James Dean turkey sausage patties (about 7 oz.)
1 1/2 cups frozen hash brown potatoes
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (separated)
1 container Bisquick Shake and Pour Buttermilk Pancake Mix (5 oz.)

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Prepare sausage patties according to the directions on the package, then cut the patties into 1/4 inch cubes. Mix sausage, potatoes and 1 cup of cheese and pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch pie plate.

Mix Bisquick according to package directions and pour over cheese mixture.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and bake for 1-2 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
