"Backyard BBQ Sliders"

Serves 4-5 | Prep Time 15 Minutes | Cook Time 15 Minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

This dish is a great work day recipe, especially if you pressed for time but need something quick and easy to fix. Deff a kid favorite as well, and it only takes one pot, for those like myself who cant stand doing dishes.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 Can Of Jackfruit (or fresh jackfruit if you got the time to prep it)(RINSED and drained)
Grapeseed Oil (1Tbsp)
Vegan Butter (Earth Balance Red Top)
Garlic (3 Cloves Minced)
Red Onions (1/2 chopped)
Green Bell Pepper ( 1/2 of it chopped)
Worcester Sauce (Kroger Brand is Vegan Friendly)
Liquid Smoke (Hickory Flavor)
Salt & Pepper
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Smoked Paprika (Regular Paprika works as well)
Agave Syrup (Or Maple Syrup)
Your Favorite BBQ Sawce (I use Original Kroger Brand and add my twain to it)
Slider Bread

Directions

Shred the rinsed and drained Jackfruit

add to a medium bowl and add couple pinches of salt

add a layer of black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, 5 dabs of liquid smoke, 5 hits of Worcester sauce, make the letter M with the agave syrup, make the letter N with the BBQ sauce, then mix well with a wooden spoon, make sure the mixture is evenly seasoned, you can tell by the smell. Set it aside and let that thang marinade!

Heat Up a cooking skillet on medium high, add a tablespoon of grapeseed oil and 1 tbsp of butter.

Once the foam settles, add the minced garlic, and bell peppers, cook for 2-3 minutes

Add the Jackfruit mixture, and cook for about 7 minutes, adding a little BBQ sauce at a time. Taste as you go feel free to add a little more of the dry seasonings to adjust to your tastebuds

Turn the heat on low, then add a another "N" of BBQ sauce then add the red onions and stir completley

Let it simmer for about 10 min

Remove pan from heat and let it chill

Spoon the mixture on top of Slider Buns serve and enjoy !

Pairs Well With

You can top it with vegan coleslaw, and pickles. I usually make herb sweet potato fries to go with this.
