Ingredients You'll Need

2 cups sugar
1 stick oleo
1/2 cup Crisco
5 eggs (separated) - add egg yolks one at a time to creamed mixture
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 cup buttermilk (Add flour and buttermilk alternately)
1 tsp. vanilla


Directions

Beat egg whites stiff and fold in whites; add 1 can coconut. Bake in 3 layers at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.


Frosting
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick oleo (soft)
1 box powdered sugar
Cream cheese and oleo/add sugar and vanilla. Add chopped nuts between layers and on top of cake if desired. Cake will freeze.
