"Seafood Stew"

Serves 6 servings | Prep Time 30 minutes PT30M | Cook Time 1.5 hours PT2H | Misc. Soup/Stew

Delicious seafood soup


Ingredients You'll Need

½ cup Olive Oil
2 to 3 garlic cloves
1½ cup White onions
¼ cup parsley
2 tbsp chopped celery
1 tbsp chopped green pepper
2 ½ can diced tomatoes
1- 8oz can tomato sauce
1 cup dry red cooking wine
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp. paprika1 ½ lbs. of Shrimp (shelled and cleaned)
1 ½ lbs. of fresh fish (sea bass, cod, red snapper)
1 ½ lbs. of crab meet (can or but fresh blue crab is best)
2 dozen clams


Directions

Sauté garlic, onions, parsley, celery, and green pepper in olive oil.


Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine, and seasonings.


SIMMER DOWN NOW


Prepare seafood while sauce cooks


Cut fish into pieces


If using fresh crab, crack the shells, remove meat, and clean. If using can crab (combine with fish cutlets)


If using fresh clams (scrub the clams clean) – Can clams (set aside)


add seafood (except for clams) to the kettle


Keep on simmer and cook the fish until done (approx. 25 minutes)


Add clams (cook until the open) if using canned clams, just until heated through)
