Kansas City Egg Strata

Why I Love This Recipe
For some reason this recipe is nowhere to be found on the internet but is made time and time again in Kansas City kitchens. Even when I moved away from home, I used it for the first brunch I ever hosted and everybody loved it!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 Loaf of White Bread, crusts removed and cubed
Beau Monde Seasoning
Ham or Sausage, cubed or crumbled (optional)
2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
10 Large eggs
4 cups Milk
Pepper
Directions
Place the bread in the bottom of a 9x13" glass casserole dish. Sprinkle Beau Monde on top. Add the ham/sausage if desired. Next, spread both types of shredded cheese on top. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, and pepper (preferably with an electric mixer). Pour egg mixture over all the other ingredients. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight (may be prepared up to 24 hours in advance). When ready to cook, preheat oven to 350 degrees and cook for one hour, until set. Allow to stand for a few minutes and serve.
