Kay's Gooey Chocolate Cake
Why I Love This Recipe
Aunt Kay would make this chocolate icing and put on chocolate cake. She would punch holes into the cake while it was hot and pour on the icing. Let the cake set and soak up the icing. The boys and I loved this cake. We had it all the time since we were always at Mike and Kay's. when we were growing up
Ingredients You'll Need
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1/4 cup cocoa
1 stick butter
t tsp vanilla
1 Chocolate cake mix
Directions
1 Follow directions on cake mix ant bake in 9 x 13 pan. Mix all ingredients together. Boil 1 minute, then beat 2 to 3 minutes. While cake is hot, poke holes in it, and pour on icing. Let cake set and soak up the icing.
