Why I Love This Recipe

My mother always made us Jam Cakes as children, it always brings sweet memories of her. Sweet and delicious

Ingredients You'll Need

2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
5 eggs
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup Jam
1 cup apple butter
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. coco
1 cup nuts
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup cream
2 cup powdered sugar


Mix butter & sugar together with mixer. Add eggs one at a time while mixing. Add the pineapple, jam & apple butter. Add the dry ingredients slowly while mixing. Add the buttermilk in between. Always start with flour and end with flour. Pour mixture into 4 8" pans. Bake for 35 mins. @ 325*

Boil first 4 ingredients for 4 mins. Add powdered sugar, mix well and quickly spread over cooled cake.
