LAZY DAISY OATMEAL CAKE

Ingredients You'll Need
¼ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup oatmeal
1 ½ cup hot water
1 teas. vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
1 teas. baking soda
½ teas. salt
2 teas. cinnamon
ICING
¾ cup butter (melted)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup coconut
2 T. evaporated milk
½ cup chopped nuts
Directions
Pour the hot water over the oatmeal & let stand 20 minutes.
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, vanilla, beat. Add oatmeal & beat.
Add dry ingredients.
Pour into greased pan.
Bake at 350F for 35 minutes.
Take out of oven. Put on icing & put under broiler for 2 – 3 minutes.
