This recipe brings the delightful taste of Lahori dishes.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 kg chicken cut into small pieces
4 tablespoon clarified butter
2 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
1/2 cup natural yogurt
4 tomatoes, finely chopped
1/2 freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 red chili powder
Salt according to taste
2 tablespoon sliced ginger
4 thinly sliced green chilies
2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaved, chopped few lemon wedges


1) Heat oil in a pan and add butter with ginger garlic paste. Stir for 2 mins then add in chicken. Cook and keep stirring for 5 minutes till the chicken isn't pink anymore

2) Add all the spices, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin and salt then add the lid

3) Cover with the lid for 10 mins on medium heat. While cooking, make sure the food does not stick to the pan.

4) Add tomatoes, black pepper and yogurt to the pan and cook on high flame for about 5-8 mins or until all of the water dries up the keep stirring.

5) Once the oil separates from the gravy turn off the heat. Sprinkle some chili and fresh coriander eaves and the food is ready. Serve hot with naan or raita.
