Why I Love This Recipe

The aroma and color of these rolls is delicious. A great way to use late summer squash from the garden.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 cup cooked squash or 1 jar junior baby food squash
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter room temperature
1 cup scalded milk
1 package dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 eggs, beaten
6 1/2 cups flour (approximately)

Add hot milk to squash, sugar, salt and butter in large bowl

Cool mixture

Add yeast dissolved in warm water for 5 minutes until it blooms

Add eggs and flour and mix well

Turn onto lightly floured board and knead well until smooth

Put dough into large oiled bowl and let rise in warm place until doubled

Punch dough down and form into rolls, place in pans and let rise again
