Serves about 50 | Prep Time 1 :30 hour | Cook Time 20 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

This fantastic pastry can be eaten as entree with salad or as snacks.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 tbs dried yeast
1 1/2 cup of warm water
1 tbs of sugar
1 tbs of salt
1 cup of oil
700 g all purpose flour
1 egg and 1 tbsp of water to brush

1 pound ground meat
1 onion diced
2 tomatoes seeded and diced
dash of all spice
1 lemon juice


Season the meat and let it strain the liquids. Meanwhile...
Dissolve yeast with sugar, oil and warm water.
Add salt and flour a little bit at a time. mixing well until dough is smooth. In a floured surface divide the dough in 50 small balls. Let it rest and rise for 15 minutes.
Open the balls and fill with 1 tablespoon of meat. Close it in shape of a triangle and place them in a greased pan.
Brush the pies with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 400 F for 20 minutes or until golden.

Pairs Well With

Serve it with salad and eat it with some drops of lemon or Tabasco when serving.
