Why I Love This Recipe
This recipe was given to Kathie by one of her aunts, and she actually perfected the recipe.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 cups butter
4 cups whole weat flour
1 cup powdered sugar
8 Tablespoons flour
Grated rind of 2 lemons
4 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
12 Tablespoons lemon juice
Mix butter with flour and powdered sugar.
Pat into a 12 x 19 inch baking pan and bake at 350ºF for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl mix 4 cups sugar, 8 tablespoons flour and baking powder.
Beat eggs slightly and add to sugar mixture; add lemon juice and rind.
Pour mixture over baked pastry, tilt pan to spread.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350ºF.
