Margarita Brownies

Ingredients You'll Need
Brownie:
6 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. real vanilla
Margarita Topping:
Zest of 1 lime
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
2 Tbsp tequila
2 Tbsp Triple Sec
1-1/2 cups whipped heavy cream, divided
2 drops green food coloring (optional)
4 very thin lime slices cut in half, for garnish
Directions
Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
Melt chocolate squares over double boiler until melted.
Combine butter, sugar and eggs; mix until well blended.
Set aside.
Add chocolate and mix well.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt,; add to chocolate mixture, mixing well.
Stir in vanilla.
Spread into pan.
Bake 40 minutes; remove from oven.
Cool thoroughly.
Topping:
In a clean bowl, combine lime zest, lime juice, condensed milk, tequila, and Triple Sec.
Fold in 1 cup of the whipped cream and the food coloring.
Pour over cooled brownies and freeze for 4 hours. Cut into 2 inch pieces and decorate with remaining 1/2 cup of whipped cream and lime slices.
Serve.
