Ingredients You'll Need

1 cup powdered sugar, 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 sticks margarine, 1 cup oil, 2 eggs, 4 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. sugar cookie mix from Costco, 1 egg, 1 tbl. water, 1/4 cup oil or follow directions on box mix.

Mix all ingredients together and let stand a few minutes. Shape into balls. Flatten with water glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 mites until barely light brown around the edges or......

Get the mix from Costco and it makes 17 dozens cookies in one box! (Not that I would use such a thing!)

Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Empty the box cookie mix into a large bowl. Break up the lumps. Stir in egg, water and oil into mixture and mix with a fork until moist. Refrigerator at least 30 minute before rolling out.

Place dough on floured surface covered with waxed paper. Roll out to desired thickness and cut out with cookie cutters of your choice . Place 1" apart and sprinkle with sugar or leave plain to frost or place them in sugar right out of the oven.

Bake in center of oven for 6-7 minutes or until light golden brown and DO NOT fall asleep (I have 3 dozen black cookies to prove my warning!).

If you leave them plain, wait until cool and decorate with frosting.
