"To peel or not to peel"

Serves 8 | Prep Time 20 minutes | Cook Time 20-25 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

M.A. said "This is the recipe I have used for years. Aunt Jane says I changed them, and that you are supposed to whip the sweet potatoes and put marshmallows on top.


Ingredients You'll Need

8 medium-sized sweet potatoes
1 & 1/4 cups brown sugar
1/8 cup orange or pineapple juice
1/4 cup butter
chopped pecans


Directions

Boil the sweet potatoes until tender (maybe cut them into 4ths before boiling).


Peel them, or not... up to you.
Arrange in a buttered baking dish, like a 9x13 glass cake pan.


Mix brown sugar and fruit juice.
Add butter.
Bring to a boil.
Then pour over the sweet potatoes.


Bake uncovered in a 350˚ oven for 20-25 minutes.


Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
