Why I Love This Recipe

This is a recipe that my mother in law shared with me when I got married so that I could them my hubby! They are his favorite breakfast food!

Ingredients You'll Need

4 eggs
1 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. melted marg. or butter
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Measure all ingredients except flour into a large bowl. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed gradually adding flour until all ingredients are combined.

Heat skillet, pour crepes batter into skillet to coat bottom thinly. Once the corners start to pull away from the edge, flip. Top with butter, powdered sugar, jams or syrup and then roll them and...enjoy!

Questions, Comments & Reviews

my mother used to make this recipe without the water (extra milk) and then begin stacking the crepes-she poured melted butter over each one and sprinkled them with sugar. A normal batch was about 15 crepes high. She kept them hot in the oven while the crepes cooked. The melted butter and sugar made its own syrup-we only did this once a year so no one's arteries snapped shut but boy are they good. We cut them into pie shaped pieces to serve. No one in their right mind would try to eat a stack of these. You'd die and become, like Lot's wife, a sugar statue. Thanks for the additional recipe. It is one I will use. lucas hess
