Serves 4 | Prep Time 10 mins | Cook Time 20 minsWhy I Love This Recipe
I recently discovered Shirataki noodles and I still think they are too good to be true. They are like 10 calories and actually taste like noodles, unlike spaghetti squash or zoodles.
This tasted indulgent but was overall a pretty damn healthy meal. Definitely one that I want to riff on and incorporate into the weeknight dinner rotation.
Ingredients You'll Need
4 containers Wonder Noodles, Miracle Noodles, or any Shirataki Noodle Brand (Basically 8 servings according to the back of the package, because I find that I usually eat 2 of what they call a serving in each sitting)
Garlic
Onion
Veggies of your choice (bell peppers, broccoli, green beans, etc)
Protein of your choice (I did it with shrimp last time)
For The Sauce:
Liquid Aminos
Peanut Butter
Oyster Sauce
Fish Sauce
Chili Garlic Sauce
Sriracha
Directions
Prepare the noodles by emptying the container into a collander and running it under water for a couple of minutes while you boil a pot of water. Add noodles to the pot once it's boiling for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, combine all the ingredients to make your sauce. I start with about 1 tbsp of each and add more as needed.
Once the 3 minutes are up, return noodles to a collander and completely drain any water. Once dry, add to a nonstick pan with no oil or water, and fry for about 10 mins on medium heat. Use tongs to mix the noodles up often, as to ensure they dont burn. Simultaneously cook your protein in a different pan, along with the veggies you're using
Once Noodles are done, add them to the pan with the veggies and the protein and mix together completely. Add sauce and serve
Enjoy!
