Why I Love This Recipe
Chili is often considered the official dish of Texas, and there's even a chili cook-off held annually in Terlingua, Texas, where chili enthusiasts compete for the title of best chili!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 lbs ground beef
1 can rotel
1 can black beans (drained)
1 can chili hot beans with liquid
1 jar medium roasted salsa
1 yellow onion chopped small
1 green pepper chopped small
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 of a 12oz can of La Costena jalapeno peppers
1 package of taco seasoning
Directions
In a large pot, add ground beef, crumble and cook.
While cooking, add in taco seasoning, onions, and pepper.
Once meat is cooked, add in rotel, salsa, and jalapeno peppers (add jalapeno juice for extra spice). Stir and let sit on medium/low heat.
Once getting closer to serve, add in black beans, chili hot beans, and sugar. Stir and cover.
Serve by itself or with macaroni! Top with cheese, sour cream, or whatever your heart desires!
