Why I Love This Recipe

This recipe my Grandfather used to make for us when we came to visit. Lola Simmons’(a friend of the family) mother was ‘Mom’ in Cheyenne, OK 1929

I like this pie and I am not too fond of Raisin's.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 c raisins water
1 c sugar
1 T flour
1 c thick cream
1/2 t vanilla

Directions

Cover raisins with water and cook until water is gone.

Mix sugar with flour and stir into the raisins.

Add 1 generous cup of thick cream and vanilla. Cook until it thickens and put into a two-crust pie.

Bake at 425* for 10 minutes, then at 350* for 35-45 minutes.
