Mom’s Bean Dip
Why I Love This Recipe
I remember this bean dip from many a party growing up. It was always a big hit!
Ingredients You'll Need
2 large cans or 4 small cans refried beans
3 large (or 4 small) avocados
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon crushed black pepper
8 oz sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
1 package taco seasoning
1 cup chopped green onions
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 can sliced black olives
8 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese
Avocado mix – mash avocados.
Mix avocados with lemon juice, salt and pepper, set aside.
Sour Cream Mix – Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning, set aside.
Warm refried beans.
Layer bean dip as follows: refried beans, avocado mix, sour cream mix, onions, tomatoes, olives and then cheese.
