Why I Love This Recipe

I almost cried when I came across this recipe. You see my Mom passed away a few months ago and this was HER OWN recipe for Spaghetti. It's not the normal way one would make it, but it was the way she liked it. I love you MOM! :)

Ingredients You'll Need

10-15 slices of bacon
1 large can tomato juice
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
1 pound pkg.Spaghetti
1 cup onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
7 tablespoons sugar

Fry bacon crisp and lay aside. Leave bacon grease in skillet and saute onions until transparent. Place onions in 2-quart saucepan and add tomato juice, hot pepper flakes, salt and pepper and sugar. Cook over low heat for 1 hour, stirring only once or twice. Cook spaghetti 8-9 minutes; drain and put back into pan. Add sauce mixture and cook another 15 to 20 minutes. Crumble bacon and add at the last minute. Serve with salad and hard bread.
