Why I Love This Recipe
Mom always seemed to make this on her busy days, usually Monday which was always wash day back then....She was such a wonderful cook and always put together a meal that was delicious and so quick. This was one of our favorites and still is whenever I make it for my family. As I tell my family Mom made 30 minutes meals before they became a hit show. I miss her so much and it seems by sharing her recipes she is still close by.
Ingredients You'll Need
Salt and Pepper
Spagetti any style
Fry cut cup bacon in a large skillet until done but not crispy, remove from pan and put on paper towel to absorb grease,
Saute diced onions in reserved bacon grease until transparent
If adding green peppers saute them diced also at this time
add Tomato sauce, paste and 2 cups water
garlic powder salt and pepper and return bacon to skillet
Simmer for about 1/2 hour till all flavors are combined and aroma is heavenly
Boil water for spagetti and cook till done, drain and add to above mixture, again simmer for 1/2 hour until ready to serve.....
We never added parmasean cheese but if you want you certainly can.
