Mozzarella Cheese Sticks Paired With Marinara
Ingredients You'll Need
16 oz Block Whole Milk Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Cup Flour
2/3 Cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs
2 Large Eggs
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1.) Cut the block of cheese into 1/2 inch sticks
2.) Place the eggs in a small bowl with 1/8 tsp. salt and black pepper, whisk to combine
3.) Place the breadcrumbs in a second small bowl and season with 1/8 tsp of salt and pepper
4.) Take each cheese stick and dip it into the egg, let excess drip
5.) Coat in breadcrumbs, shake off excess then place on a plate. Repeat with rest of sticks.
6.) Repeat steps 4&5 for a second coat
7.) Place sticks in an airtight container and put them in the freezer for 2 hours.
8.) Take the sticks out of the freezer and heat a fryer to 365 degrees F
9.) Fry for 30-60 seconds until golden brown
10.) Serve with marinara or any pairing sauce.
