Why I Love This Recipe

Everyone in my family loves biscuits. We cannot have enough when we have the big family gatherings. It's as if they only come for the biscuits!...here's the best fluffy biscuits I've found.

Ingredients You'll Need

4 cups all-purpose flour
8 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons sugar
1 cup shortening(Use butter or vegetable shortening such as Crisco—Do not use margarine)
1 1/3 cups cold buttermilk

Directions

I got this from www.beyondwonderful.com and like it says: roll the dough extra thick, and use a one inch deep cookie cutter or a orange juice glass. I tried it once with margarine...nope... flat. Got to use butter for the fluffyness of it all.

Bake at 450 for about 18 minutes...you'll see when they're ready. Golden Brown and hot...ready for butter or jam!
