Salmon Patties are fast to make and a taste from the old south, brings back my childhood memories about family dinners.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 (14.75 ounce) can canned salmon
1 egg
1/4 cup chopped onion
/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs or I use crackers
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 C. Milk
Flour
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
Drain liquid from salmon. Mix egg, onion, bread crumbs or crackers, milk. salt, pepper and salmon together.
Make into patties. I don't like them to thick but you can make them thick or thin , add flour to your cutting board or counter tops cover the palms of your hands in flour, put a large portion in the palm of you hand and roll into ball, then roll that ball in the flour then make the patties to the size you want. In an iron skillet with oil place each patties and fry on each side until golden brown. If mixture is too is to dry add more milk . Drain on paper towel and serve.
Pairs Well With
mashed potatoes, a green vegetable (peas, greens) cornbread.
