Myles Mathany's Crock Pot Apple Sauce

Why I Love This Recipe
This applesauce makes a good side dish at Thanksgiving! Or, just eat it as a snack any day!
Ingredients You'll Need
12 large apples (fresh or frozen)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water (if you are using fresh apples)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in a crock pot. Add the lemon juice, and toss to coat.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon and sugar, and stir to coat.
If you are using fresh apples, add the water now.
Put the lid on the crock pot. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours, or LOW for 6-7 hours, until the apples are very soft.
Leave as is for chunky applesauce, or mash with a potato masher for smooth applesauce. Eat while warm, or cool, pour into containers, seal, and store in the fridge. Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!
