Why I Love This Recipe

My husband loves Swiss Steak but when trying to find one that he really liked took trying alot of different recipes. He did want the tomatoes but not just them alone. Found this one and have been makeing it ever since.


Ingredients You'll Need

2 to 3 lbs. boneless round steak
!/4 C. oil
salt
pepper
4 T. flour

2 T. flour
1 ( 16oz.) can diced tomatoes
1/2 C. chopped carrots
1/2 C. chopped celery
1/2 C. chopped onions
1/2 t. soy sauce


Directions

Pound steak, cut into serving size pieces.


Combine flour, salt and pepper.


Dredge meat in mixture.


Brown in hot oil in large skillet.


Remove from skillet and place in lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish; sit aside.


Add 2 T. flour to pan drippings; cook over med. heat 1 min., stirring constantly.


Add tomatoes, celery, carrots and onions.


Cook until thick stirring constantly.


Stir in soy sauce.


Pour over steak.


Cover and bake at 350'F for 1 hr.15 min. or until steak is tender.
