Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies

Why I Love This Recipe
Almost a cake consistancy ~ Very light and not so sweet. This recipe from my sister, not sure where she found it.
Ingredients You'll Need
3 Cups sifted all purpose Flour
1 t. Baking Powder
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1/2 t. Salt
1 Cup Butter (room temp)
1-1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Dairy Sour Cream
1 t. Vanilla
Topping: (sift together)
1/2 Cups Sugar
1 t. Cinnamon
Directions
Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In large bowl of electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
At low speed, beat in sour cream and vanilla until smooth.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until well combined. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly grease cookie sheets.
Drop batter by slightly rounded table-spoonfuls, 2" apart, onto prepared cookie sheets.
For topping, sprinkle unbaked cookies with a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
Bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to wire rack; cool.
