"Always a hit, these fruity cookies stand out."

Serves About 3 Dozen | Prep Time 20 minutes | Cook Time 10 - 12 minutes, depending on your oven

Why I Love This Recipe

Down here in Florida, citrus is a big thing. These cookies showcase our Oranges in a delightful way.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 teaspoon of orange juice
4 - 5 teaspoons of grated orange peel ( Zest)
1 cup of butter
1 large egg
2 1/4 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar tamped or packed down
1 - 12 ounce bag of white baking chips (or 6 ounces of chocolate chips and 6 ounces of white chips)

Start by pre heating your oven to 350 degrees
place parchment paper onto your cookie sheets

Soften the butter by beating it. When it's smooth and workable, add the two sugars and mix thoroughly

Now beat in the egg, the orange juice and the zest until creamy smooth

Slowly add the chips, and the flour mixture, mixing well

Using a table spoon or small ice cream scoop, drop the rounded balls onto your parchment paper

Bake for approximately 10 - 12 minutes until the edges start to turn a golden brown

Remove from the cookie sheet and onto cooling racks
