Overnite Sausage Casserole

A wonderful dish for eating in your pj's, playing games and making holiday mornings easy.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
9 slices of bread (any kind)
4 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 lb. sausage, browned (or cubed cooked ham)
Optional - 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
2 cups half and half milk
6 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried mustard
Directions
Cut bread into cubes. Grease 9" x 12" pan. Make a layer in the pan of about 5 of the slices worth of bread.
Spread 1/2 of the butter, 2 cups of cheese, and 1/2 of the meat over the bread. (Include red pepper if using.)
Layer on the rest of the bread and the butter, cheese and meat.
Beat together eggs, milk, salt and mustard. Pour on top of other ingredients in the casserole.
Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 45 minutes. You may remove foil last few minutes of baking to crisp the top. Enjoy!
