Why I Love This Recipe
This was given to me by a friend many years ago and it is still a favorite recipe of my family.
Ingredients You'll Need
24 small (1½") mint patties, unwrapped
1½ c. butter, melted
3 c. sugar
1 T. vanilla
5 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Directions
Heat oven to 350°. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
In large bowl, stir together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, blend well. Reserve 2 c. batter. Spread remaining batter in pan. Arrange patties on top of batter. Spread reserved 2 c. batter over patties. Bake for 50 - 55 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
