Peanut Butter And Jelly Bars

Why I Love This Recipe
A huge hit at my grandfather's 90th birthday party, as well as with my roommates!
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
18 ounce jar of peanut butter (I use Skippy)
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
18 ounce jar of raspberry jam (or desired fruit)
1 cup peanuts, chopped
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13x2 cake pan. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla, eggs, and peanut butter and mix until all ingredients are combined. Mix flour and baking powder. Slowly add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture. Mix just until combined. Spread 2/3 of the dough into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly. Spread the jam evenly over the dough. Drop small globs of the remaining dough evenly over the jam, leaving some jelly visible. Sprinkle entire pan with chopped peanuts. Bake for 45 minutes, until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.
