Picadillo with White Rice

Ingredients You'll Need
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic
1 lb. lean ground beef or half beef half pork
2 oz. tomato sauce
4 oz. small stuffed green olives
4 oz. raisins
1 tbsp. capers
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Pepper
Directions
Saute the onion and pepper in olive oil. Add the garlic.
Add the beef (or beef and pork mixture)
Mix well and cook until meat loses its red color.
Stir in the tomato sauce, olives, raisins, capers, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Cover and simmer gently for about 1/2 hour, stirring at times.
Serve on a large platter with white rice, garnish with small peas and/or pimiento strips.
