"Pie crust for sweet or savory pies"

Serves 9 in pie crust | Prep Time 1hr 50 minutes | Cook Time Depends on type of pie

Why I Love This Recipe

This is an easy recipe that ends up flakey and tender with nice layers. It can be used for seer or savory pot pies. I also have a recipe for a pot pie filling.


Ingredients You'll Need

3 cups of all purpose flour
11/2 teaspoons salt
Sweet spices:
Big pinch of cinnamon
Big pinch of cloves
Savory spices
Big pinch of thyme
Big punch of sage
2 1/2 sticks of cold cubed butter
1/3 cold butter crisco
6-8 tablespoons of ice water


Directions

Put first 5 ingredients andPulse 15 times in your food processor


Add butter and crisco pulse 8-10 times until it likes like peas


Add water 1 tablespoons at a time pulse than add water keep going until it forms a ball


Divide and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.


Roll out into a 9 inch circle


Place in 9 inch pie pan


Bake at desired temp
