Why I Love This Recipe
It is amazing but gingerale does something wonderful to pork.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 large onions sliced
1/4 c. butter; divided
4 to 6 pork chops approx. 1" thick
2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon flour
1 c. ginger ale
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Melt half of the butter in a skillet over medium heat; add onions; saute until lightly browned. Remove onions to a 2 qt. baking dish.
In the same skillet, brown the pork chops in remaining butter.
Place chops over onions in the baking dish. Sprinkle with brown subar.
Blend ketchup with flour to form a paste; add ginger ale; stir well.
Pour ginger ale mixture over the pork chops; sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Bake in a 350 oven for about 1 hour or until pork chops are tender.
