Why I Love This Recipe
A simpler and more familiar version of the cake. This is probably the chocolate dessert many people ate as a child. And nowadays, "potatoes" are mostly made this way.
Ingredients You'll Need
For the sponge cake:
4 eggs;
120 g sugar;
100 g flour;
1 tablespoon cocoa;
1 teaspoon of baking powder.
For the cream and decorations
150g butter;
200g boiled condensed milk;
2-3 tablespoons of cocoa.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line the molds with parchment paper. Beat the eggs and sugar into a light, thick foam with a mixer. Sift together the flour, cocoa and baking powder.
Pour the dry mixture into the eggs in batches and gently knead the dough with folding motions. Pour the batter into the molds and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove the finished biscuit from the mold and cool completely on a rack.
Beat with a mixer 130 g of melted butter and condensed milk. Chop the cooled biscuit into fine crumbs and mix with the cream. Leave the mass for 40 minutes in the refrigerator, then make cakes of it and coat them in cocoa.
Garnish the "potatoes" with the remaining butter and send to the refrigerator for another hour.
