These are a classic no-bake cookie. I used to love these as a child and still do. Braces or not these are absolutely delicious and a great gluten-free option for those of us who suffer from Celiac Disease. If you are looking for something to curve that sweet tooth without busting your brackets, look no further than these nostalgic sweeties.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 Stick of butter
2 Cups of Sugar
½ Cup of Milk
½ Cup of Peanut Butter
3 Cups Raw Oats
½ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
½ Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Directions
Place the sugar, cocoa powder, butter, milk, and salt in a medium saucepan.
Measure out the peanut butter, quick oats, and vanilla. Line two baking sheets with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
Bring the sugar / butter mixture to a full boil over medium heat. Once it begins to boil, cook and stir constantly for 1 minute. It’s best to set a timer to be very precise.
Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla.
Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop to quickly drop the cookies onto the prepared baking sheets. Set aside for 15 minutes to cool and harden, then enjoy!
