Why I Love This Recipe

A lovely bread to serve with breakfast on a nice fall morning! It is a simple recipe but super fun to make and is very seasonal. It is quite a nice side dish.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 and 3/4 cups flour
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
1/2 cup margarine (melted)
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg (beaten)
1/3 cup water


1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F

2. in a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cloves

3. make a well in the center of the dry ingredients

4. in a small bowl, mix margarine, pumpkin, egg, and water

5. pour wet ingredients into well and mix

6. pour into greased and floured loaf pan

7. bake for 40 minutes
