Quick and Easy Root Beer Barbecue Sauce

Why I Love This Recipe
It seems like life is getting more and more busy. As I find myself trying to cram everything in, I sometimes take a few shortcuts--refrigerated entrees, canned biscuits, deli coleslaw--but I do like to put a homemade touch on things. Here, I've combined tomato sauce, root beer, and a few spices and come up with a fast homemade barbecue sauce that will make convenience foods taste like you've cooked all day!
Ingredients You'll Need
1 (8oz) can Tomato Sauce (or use 1 cup of the 15 oz can)
1/2 cup Root Beer
1/4 cup Orange Juice
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Molasses
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons Cider Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sized heavy saucepan; stir until combined. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Lower heat and simmer for 25-35 minutes, or until the sauce is reduced and starts to thicken.
