"Instant Pot Ribs"

Serves 6 | Prep Time 10 minutes | Cook Time 30 minutes

Why I Love This Recipe

Overall this recipe was a success and involved relatively low effort due to the power of the Instant Pot. The sauce was quite sweet due to the brown sugar but overall the flavors worked together.

Ingredients You'll Need

1 half-rack beef short ribs
1/2 can crushed tomatoes
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 half bell pepper (diced)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon of hot sauce

Directions

First, we patted the ribs dry, and cut them up into individual ribs.
After applying salt and pepper we cooked the ribs in the Instant Pot, under pressure for about 12 minutes, and manually released the steam.
We blended the ingredients for the rib sauce using a Vitamix.
After removing the ribs from the InstantPot they were cooked through but lacked flavor and visual appeal.
Next, we applied the sauce, generously, using a pastry brush.
The ribs were then placed in the combi oven until the sauce was bubbly and browned and the ribs had developed more color and flavor.
Overall, the high fat and tenderness ribs, along with the high pressure. of the Instant Pot allowed the ribs to cook in a relatively short amount of time.

Pairs Well With

This was an example of fast, dry cooking methods.
