Why I Love This Recipe
Family favorite for reunions. This is a recipe that we have had since my childhood in the 1960s. So I just look at it to see if it is done. We just cover & take it whereever we go & freeze the leftovers.
Ingredients You'll Need
1 cup brown rice (or white rice)
2 cans of beef consomme
1/2 half stick of butter
2 large onion chopped
1 can mushroom pieces
melt butter in a frying pan. Add rice & onion. Stir over medium heat until onion is transparent. pour into a casserole dish then put in the consomme & mushrooms. Bake at 350 until for 45 minutes. If it is too dry just add a little water. cover it & go.
