Robbobbin's BLUEBERRY DUMPLINGS

A new twist on an old favorite.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 1/2 C. fresh blueberries
1/3 C. plus 2 T. granulated sugar
Dash of salt
1 C. water
1 T. lemon juice
1 C. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 T. butter
1/2 C. milk
Directions
Mix blueberries, the 1/3 cup sugar, salt and water in medium saucepan; bring to a boil; simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
Add lemon juice.
Sift flour, the 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and the 1/4 teaspoon salt together; cut in butter until the consistency of coarse meal. Add milk all at once; stir just until flour is dampened. Drop from tablespoon into simmering blueberry mixture. Cover tightly; cook over low heat for 10 minutes without removing cover.
