Why I Love This Recipe
This is an easy way to make your own sauerkraut.
Ingredients You'll Need
To one quart jar of shredded cabbage add:
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
a little pickling spice
Directions
Pack clean jars with shredded cabbage. Add the above ingredients on top. Pour boiling water to fill jar. Seal & put in a cool place for about 6 weeks before using. Keeps for many months.
