Salted Nut Bars

Why I Love This Recipe
On a recent trip to North Dakota, I enjoyed these bars at a church dinner. Quite yummy--easy to make, too.
Ingredients You'll Need
Crust:
1/2 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
Topping:
2 T. butter
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
11-oz can of mixed nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350-degrees
Crust:
Mix ingredients together.
Pat into a greased 13x9" pan.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Topping:
Melt butter, cornsyrup and butterscotch chips in a medium saucepan.
Pour syrup mixture over the baked crust, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle mixed nuts evenly over the top.
Bake an additional 10 minutes.
Cut in bars to serve.
