Why I Love This Recipe

I looked a long time for a BBQ sauce that I truly liked. I found this one in a Pillsbury Classic Cookbook called "Best Recipes". It's from 1986, Volume 2, cookbook # 66. Though I still look for good BBQ sauce recipes, I have yet to find one that tops this one! I love this!!!

I've served this with Anne's AuGratins or Baked Creamed Potatoes, corn and coleslaw! I'd have to say this is probably "MY" favorite comfort food menu!! Hope you enjoy it, too!

Ingredients You'll Need

3 - 4 lb. country-style ribs
1 Tb. butter or margarine
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 c. chili sauce
1/4 c/ apple cider vinegar
2 Tb. worcestershire sauce
1 Tb. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 garlic clove, minced

Place ribs in 4 - 6 qt. Dutch oven; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour or until ribs are tender. Drain; place in 13 x 9" (3 qt.) baking dish.

Heat oven to 300 degrees. In medium saucepan, sauté onion in butter until crisp-tender. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat thogoughly. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes or until ribs are nicely glazed, basting occasionally.
