Why I Love This Recipe

This is a traybake and very similar to Flapjack recipes only a lot more crunchy and adaptable. Apart from the margarine, it is basically a 4oz for everything mixture. If you wish to add more cereals then you will need more syrup mixture to account for the extra dry ingredients.

Ingredients You'll Need

8 oz margarine
4 oz sugar
4 oz syrup
4 oz coconut flakes (optional)
4 oz cornflakes
4 oz oats
4 oz white SR flour

Other options: sultanas, bran flakes, other similar cereals

1. Preheat oven to gas mark 5

2. Butter a 1 inch deep (at least) baking tray

3. Melt marg, sugar and syrup together

4. Mix cereals, oats and flour together in a large bowl

5. Pour in all of the molten mixture

6. Stir thoroughly until all is coated evenly

7. Pour into baking tray and push gently to all sides and corners

8. Place in oven for 20 mins until golden brown
