Why I Love This Recipe

I got this from a television show called 207 in Maine. This is one of the best chowders. VERY EASY!

COOKS NOTE:

This can be served right away but I always think it's best when served the following day.


Ingredients You'll Need

4 Slices of Bacon
1 Stick of Butter
1 Onion
1 lb. of Lobster Meat
1 lb. of small shrimp
1 lb. of haddock (or cod)
1 Can of Evap. Milk
1 Cup of Fish Stock
5 Potatoes

1 Stick of Butter

1 lb. of Lobster Meat


1 lb. of small shrimp


1 lb. of haddock (or cod)


1 Can of Evap. Milk


1 Cup of Fish Stock


5 Potatos


chop bacon into small pieces


finely chop onion


peel potatos and cube


in a pot medium heat - cook bacon until brown - add stick of butter - when melted add onion and cook until clear - add haddock and cook for about 6 min - add shrimp and cook for 2 min - add lobster meat and mix with half n half - add evap milk - fish stock and potatos. Do not allow this to come to boil. Let it stand on low for about 45 min to 1 hour.


This can be served right away but i always think it's best when served the following day.
