Secret chocolate chip cookies

Why I Love This Recipe
This recipe I found in an old box. It's alway's been a hit. Delicious, that's why I'm sharing!
Ingredients You'll Need
1/2 cup rolled oats regular
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup butter (2 sticks softened)
3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon juice
2 eggs
3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place rolled oats in blender process till finely ground.
Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt, & cinnamon in mixing bowl.
In another bowl, cream sugars, vanilla , and lemon juice together. Use electric mixer
Add eggs, and beat untill fluffy.
Stir the flour mixture into egg mixture, blending well. Add chocolate chips & nuts to dough mix well. Using about 1/4 cup of dough for each cookie. Scoop round balls with an ice cream scoop and place 2 1/2 in apart on prepared baking sheet.
Bake about 16 to 18 mins untill cookies are lightly browned. Transfer onto wire rack to cool. Store in container for soft & chewy cookies.
