Why I Love This Recipe
For years now I have collected recipes from relatives, friends, and magazines
in journals which I date and comment when used. Sesame Buttermilk Biscuits
came from Chattanooga,TN and has become our favorite Sunday morning
breakfast.In the journal it is starred-enough said!
Ingredients You'll Need
400 degree oven
1/3 cup sesame seeds (toast as oven preheats-brown not black)
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup buttermilk
Directions
Sift dry ingredients into (bowl or) processor.
Cut butter into processor.
Process briefly while adding buttermilk.
Pour toasted s.seeds on lightly floured surface.
Turn out dough onto seeded surface,kneading briefly.
Roll or pat out dough lightly-1/2" thick
Cut rounds and place in hot oven on baking sheet.
Bake till golden brown,(10-15 minutes)
Serve in biscuit-friendly basket,(covered lightly with pretty towel)
