1 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla


In small skillet, toast sesame seeds over medium heat, stirring occasionally until lightly browned. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 large cookie sheets. In small mixer bowl cream butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Stir flour and baking powder together, add to creamed mixture and beat until well mixed. Add vanilla and sesame seed and continue beating until well combined. Drop batter by 1/2 teaspoons onton cookie sheets about 1 1/2" apart. Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly brown around edges. Cool slightly on sheets. Remove and cool completely on wire racks.
